serve/protect is the
story of two lonely police officers gauging the value of their occupation to
themselves and the community they supposedly serve. Gus and Tony sit in their
lonely unmarked squad car and muse about who, why and what they serve/protect.
We follow these two as the veteran
Gus slowly pulls the novice Tony down towards his caustic and cynical view of
the world. Their discussions range from whether the bangs they hear are
gunshots or fireworks, to the pain of never truly trusting your wife.
The monotony and boredom of their
occupation gives these two ample time to criticize the other for all of the
things they do wrong, but when a routine domestic call suddenly goes
horrifyingly wrong the only two people they can count on are themselves.
